Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, is making waves at the box office. The film opened to Rs 31 crore on its first day. The movie was released in theatres on February 14, 2025. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the actor portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the historical period drama. The movie received mixed reviews, but many hailed Vicky’s performance as the Maratha warrior. Chhaava’s day 2 box office collections are not out. As per the reports, the movie has earned Rs 36.50 crore at the box office on its second day. The total collection is now Rs 67.50 crore. With such great numbers, it can be said that the movie might enter the Rs 100 crore club over the weekend. It looks like the movie might become a hit as it was made on a budget of Rs 130 crore. As reported by India today, the overall occupancy of Vicky Kaushal’s movie was also better on its second day. The movie had an overall occupancy of 50.39 percent on its second day. Along with Vicky, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and Ashutosh Rana. Meanwhile, Vicky is quite overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation he received for Chhaava. He wrote, “Aapke pyaar ne #Chhaava ko sachmuch Zinda kar diya!!! All your messages, calls… all the videos you all are sharing of your experience of watching CHHAAVA… I’m seeing it all… taking it all in. Thank you for all your love… Grateful to each and every one of you for celebrating the glory of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

The actor’s next is Love and War, which is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role and will hit theatres next year.
