The actress made her thoughts known as she shared the funny addition on her social media
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley said it “made my day” as she reposted a snap of a Mandy Dingle tattoo on her Instagram story.
The 48-year-old star is best known for her long-standing role as Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale. Lisa first appeared on the ITV show in 1995.
Her character Mandy is currently married to Paddy Dingle after the pair faced a lot of ups and downs in their relationship – including a cheating scandal.
Over the years, Mandy has faced some dramatic storylines. Most recently, her son Vinny confronted her after learning that he wasn’t her biological son. Since then, they’ve repaired their relationship, with Vinny going to Mandy for support while struggling with the reality of being a dad to Gabby’s son.
She also had a close shave when she narrowly missed out on the Valentine’s limo crash after agreeing to swap places with Liam Cavanagh at the last moment so that he could propose to Chas.
Speaking of Liam, Mandy was also briefly held hostage by Ella Forster so that she could plead her innocence to Liam who believed that she had drugged Chas – viewers now know it was John Sugden.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Lisa reposted a picture of someone who had got the name Mandy Dingle tattooed on their arm. She wrote: “Made my day!!!” as original poster Ryan Ruckledge penned: “What a funny bird, who goes to Ibiza and ends up with a tattoo of Mandy Dingle on her arm of Emmerdale”.
Mandy has become a fan favourite amongst viewers, and Lisa recently surprised fans as she was the surprise star that fans on the Emmerdale tour were able to meet.
Taking to her Instagram, Lisa announced the “surprise” that she was the cast member that lucky fans met while on the Emmerdale tour.
She wrote: “SURPRISE……yes it was me today at the @emmerdaletour tour everyone I met THANK YOU….for your gorgeous cuddles, questions and comments. I’ve left the @emmerdale village smiling from ear to ear.”
The actress also posted a video earlier on, as she teased: “Well, I wonder where I am today… I’m hidden in the Emmerdale church, that’s because I’m on the Emmerdale tour… Today’s special guest was me! Lisa Riley. So nice. This is my first one, about to start right now.”
Each cast member takes it in turns, with Paula Lane (Ella Forster) as the surprise guest just a few weeks before her exit from the ITV soap.
