English Teacher and charities warn of youth music funding crisis

It’s the BRIT Awards tonight, with the brightest stars of British music getting ready to walk down the red carpet.

Among the nominees – English Teacher – a Leeds based band on the rise after winning the Mercury Prize last year.

Their guitarist Lewis Whiting has been speaking about the support that helped the group breakthrough – and the struggle other acts face to secure vital funding.
