Teenagers identified after man ‘hit with metal bar’ while intervening in fight

This comes after Thames Valley Police released images on Friday (February 21) of two teenage boys officers wanted to speak to in connection with the assault investigation. 

Police said the assault happened at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, January 29 in Castle Street, in which a man was hit on the head with a metal bar when intervening during an altercation between a group of teenagers.

The victim, a 50-year-old man, attended hospital for a deep cut to his face.

He has since been released.

The force thanked the public for sharing the appeal.
