The plot centers around Sam who loses his phone while going on a holiday in Fiji to meet his girlfriend Sheena. However, things take a turn for the worst when Sam buys a 3G connection phone and starts receiving calls from unknown numbers.

The film received negative reviews from the critics and the audience. The film became the worst performer of 2013. 3G – A Killer Connection has an IMDb rating of 3.6. The film grossed a total of Rs 5.82 crore.

Sonal Chauhan was so traumatised by the terrible run of the film that she silently faded away from Bollywood and started working in other languages. However, she made her comeback in Bollywood three years after the 3G release in JP Dutta’s Paltan.
